The Children's Crisis Prevention Network (CCPN), established in April 1986, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation
whose mission has been to prevent substance abuse and other self-defeating behaviors by all children.
The foundation of the CCPN programs is the certain belief that students are capable of making good choices.
Our primary goal is to assist children from families affected by substance abuse through our education, intervention,
and other support services.
The cornerstone of our programs is a gentle, loving narcotic detection dog. These dogs, handled by caring
professionals, help maintain safe school campuses.
The DAD dogs are also trained to provide the advantages of pet therapy for children who feel they have no
one to trust. They are also a unique and encouraging learning tool in that they act as a focus for
lessons that are presented to the students.
